Mechanical seal repair can make your pump seals look new even when they start like this or worse.

If you use seals you know repairing them can easily save you 50% of the cost of a new seal. With the exception of the most common throw-away seals, Repairing Seals Will Save You Money.

We repair all brands and all styles. We also replicate competitive brand seals, so if your seal is not repairable we can build you a new one at a lower cost than you are now paying!

Repaired seals can also be upgraded by replacing Carbon faces with Silicon or Tungsten Carbide for much less than upgrading to a new seal.

All of the seals we repair are: cleaned or sand blasted, inspected for factory tolerance, receive new faces if required (otherwise lapped), new springs, new elastomer ( rubber boot or o-rings), new set screws, new setting clips (if a cartridge seal), lapped to industry standards (2-3 light bands) assembled and shipped.

Lapping to 2 - 3 light bands

Lapping seal faces to OEM standards of 2 – 3 light bands is critical to maintaining a quality seal.

Not all seal repairs are alike.  If the seal is not inspected for a flat finish, it may have just been made to look finished, but not be truely flat.

After Repair

This seal was actually repaired in our shop.

After cleaning, replacement of the seal face, set screws, secondary seal and springs (if required). The seal face is properly lapped flat.

How much can I save by repairing my seals?

While most mechanical seal suppliers will advertise the cost of a mechanical seal is 50% of a new seal, we can do better.  We charge only for what needs to be repaired. Often all a seal needs are new sealing elastomers (o-rings, rubber boot or gaskets). The faces are always lapped and polished flat.  Where seal repairs get expensive is when seal faces have to be replaced. However, even when we have to replace the seal faces, springs, elastomers set screws, etc, our repair cost is often less than our competitors.
