Pump Packings

We have a full selection of compression packings and have the expertise to make the best recommendations for your applications.  The most common styles we stock are below.

Since Egyptian times, compession packing has been a solution to seal rotating shafts.  The evolution of the materials used to pack the shaft is what allows packing to continue to be a viable solution today.  Asbestos products were discontinued in the 1980s and were largely replaced with carbon-based flexible graphite and various carbon packings (including pitch-based and pan-based carbons).  GFO was developed about the same time and serves as an exceptional packing for general service (Temps lower than 450F) pumps and valves. For those on a budget, we offer Ameri-lon packing as an equal to GFO.

We offer a wide selection of general service, extreme service, and specialty compression packings for specific applications.  The short list below are our most commonly ordered styles, but we offer far more including those listed on usseal.com and Sealsales.com
